Anyone try nitro coffee yet?  It sounds fantastic.  I just read about Second Best Coffee in Waldo having it.  Will try to remember to try it this week.

Had one in Portland about a month ago, pretty good.  Has the exact same mouthfeel as Guinness. Would recommend (but don't get too used to them, those PNW hipsters wanted like $8 a cup!)

You aren't wrong though.

Well duh.

Had it. Good, probably my favorite cold coffee I've had. Not a huge cold coffee fan though.

Nailed cold brew.  Starbucks Cafe Verona (12oz), course grind, stir in 2 cups cold water, then pour in another 5.5cups (don't stir).  Use stainless steel stock pot.  Cover and sit for 12hrs.  Strain with coffee filters.

Makes super good concentrate cold brew you guys.

Are you diluting it further with hot or cold later?

So far I have been taking a 1:1 ratio milk to coffee with a little simple syrup made with Sugar in the Raw.  CNSWife likes a 2:3 coffee to milk with the same amt of syrup.  Hers tastes exactly like starbucks new Double Shot on Ice (sans protein).

I haven't tried it diluted w water, but have read that similar ratios w water works.  Have also heard that diluting w hot water ( like you would to make a normal Americano w normal espresso) is very good.

explain the point of the 2 cups stir, 5.5 cups no stir.

Blooms the grounds, I guess.  It's something I read as part of another trial that didn't work as well.  Evidently, stirring a lot with all the water can force overexposure and cause bitterness.

Not with concentrate.   Ratio is pretty important with that.

I decided to start drinking coffee after having never really drank it.  I've had a cup the last 5 mornings.  It's incredibly gross tasting but I have been enjoying the act of drinking coffee in the mornings.

Admittedly, I haven't tried it, but reading that, it looks like you guys like coffee flavored sugar milk rather than coffee. To each their own, I suppose.

Yeah, super concentrated. It tastes almost like tobacco by itself.

coffee, much like any thing you will ever cook, is dependent on ratios.

Why would you drink it if you don't like the taste? You should try hot tea instead. Tastes much better.
