Sheratons have those in Starbucks in the rooms. Not bad for room coffee.

They're plastic. My dad has one of those. Since I'm not a dick to the environment, I own a Saeco Xelsis. Throw your beans in the hopper, and the machine takes care of the rest.

There are also like 10^24 different settings to really fine tune your brew. Was it worth my time to learn all of it? No, not really.

The coffee pods need to be cleaned out before recycling on your neighborhood recyclables. If you through non-recyclables into the recyclables, the entire recycle truck is sometimes dumped into the garbage. Well, the truck isn't thrown into the garbage, just the alleged recyclables.
