Ben they released in 2009 . . . but they had been laid out conceptually several years prior. It was only discovered when ku released the report on the NCAA self study from the previous year. But we all know how this is going . . . gridiron club first then "village" . . . well the Gridiron Club is on indefinite hold, so we're looking at a minimum of 5 to 6 years from initial design work on the "village" until any ground is moving and that's being extremely generous. ku athletics can't borrow any more money, so it has to raise all the money for the gridiron club privately and the revenues from the gridiron club must get to a point where it can fund the "village". Things can change, but that was the plan.
On the indoor practice facility, football has to share it with track and other sports. Plus it has old style turf, sits clear on the other side of campus from the football complex, has a low ceiling and isn't a full length field. K-State's is over 130 yards long and over 80 yards wide, has a much higher ceiling and has brand new FieldTurf and is 200 yards from the football stadium.
Just read the advertisement Ben . . . up to $45 million in bonds for K-State athletics on top of whatever private money they can raise, you have no idea what K-State is talking about doing, I do.
