like I'm a republican for a couple reasons and the biggest of those reasons is fiscal policy and I kinda liked it better when republicans weren't fuckin' downgrades about doing it

Texting with my MAGA I asked what the end game of tarrifing our allies was.

His response was "You assume we have "allies" I'm not that sure........."

So I assume this is the new talking point.

Obviously nobody wins in a trade war.

I am not disappointed about a 25% tariff on Mexican pecans, though. Mexican farmers and domestic shellers are benefitting from the Federal Marketing Order on pecans at the expense of American farmers.

Maybe I wasn't very clear, but if it was within my power, I'd reverse the 25% tariff on everything and be done. We'd be better off without getting engaged in a trade war.

From a personal standpoint, there is a silver lining to the tariffs, but I'd still they rather not be implemented.

I personally think it's great that these tariffs will harm red state economies the most. These people deserve to get what they voted for.
