well, I mean, they are a car company so......
I don't think they will be, or rather their focus to be, that in 5+ years. You can see them pivoting to AI/Battery/Rideshare. They have no new models coming out, only refreshes, Sales are dropping (Elon inflicted but also a decaying inertia). So to me, "to big to fail" if you're talking about a car company, nah, they're pipsqueaks.
If Elon truly thinks/says what they are, a technology company. Automation/AI/rideshare is what he is thinking. If they are successful, and I have my doubts and reservations. Then you could say they are too big to fail. But that is solely IMO what their "market cap" is based on. Not the paltry amount of cars they produce. Which is my point to Mich's (to me) absurd take of being "too big to fail" IMO.
