In the early 90’s from home I used to have to wait for a jpg to download row by row at 14.4K or 24K speed, and I’d see row by tiny row until about 5 minutes into it when I decided whether to close it due to it being a gross one and need to pick a different one. The actual content of what I could see in pictures was much more wild than it is today, but the speed was terrible.
Dugout Dickstone and I took a computer inter-session course over Xmas break one year at dear old KSU and sat in the back and tried to gross each other out by searching for the most messed up stuff using KSU’s high speed connection. You name it, we could find it back then.
