My personal favorite KSU football play of all time. One of my most cherished memories.
Was in the end zone w two of my closest friends from childhood and another buddy that we met during college, just to the right of the dividing line between KSU fans and OU fans. Before the play I was telling my friend that “we gotta go play-action up top to JT,” cuz in my mind it was the perfect timing for the play and seemed like a pure Snyder move in that moment.
Well, we did go up top to JT and we went absolutely bonkers. I’ll never forget my other buddy turning around and grabbing us by the coats and VIOLENTLY shaking us. And I’m screaming “we went up top to JT!” And then just yelling JT! JT! over and over again.
Then you watch the TV broadcast and Brent Mus makes just an absolute banger of a call on the play…
Brent: On a play fake, with a deep drop on first down … takes it down the left sideline. Wants Terry. TERRY’s GOT IT!!!… (insane crowd pop ensues as JT breaks free) … HEADED FOR THE END ZONE. K-STATE LEADS IT!! …
