I would like to see LL’s brand of offense in the Big 10

I think it would be very exciting.

LL would certainly get the attention of Coach Khaki's down the road.

LL going to M-State would be hilarious for a number of reasons, but I don't see them taking a chance on him.

Lance would be amazing at Iowa or Wisconsin.

Frankly, a good old fashioned big 10 bidding war for Lance will probably happen.

There could be as many as 3 BiG schools in play here for red hot commodity LL

Has it been established if LL is the brains behind that offense or if it's the OC? The OC's been with LL for a decade and if you're going to throw Mel Tucker money around, I'd be a bit hesitant for what happens if/when the OC leaves (cause you know defense sure isn't LL's calling card).

Would Lance Lightpole leave beautiful Lawrence for East Lansing?  It'd have to be a pretty big bump in pay.  He would likely go to Madison or Champagne-Urbana in a heartbeat.

According to oscar Feldman of The Athletic, Leipold would the top  option to replace Tucker at Michigan State.  Leipold has taken Kansas football to unprecedented heights in less than three years

Lance isn't leaving KU.  They will pay him a top 10 salary if it comes to it.

The endowment is ready to make a big move to keep him there.

He has an opportunity to do something here, and he is not taking it lightly.

I think he would at least have to entertain the offer, but the opportunity at KU is a good one and he’s already got several years invested.  Starting over, even though he’s relatively young, isn’t all that appealing, I would think.  KU fans and media have already anointed him sainthood, unless they offer him a contract similar to Tuckers’, I don’t think he would move.

Can you imagine the rivalry KU and MSU would have if this happens?  LL goes to MSU and the OC cord takes over as KU coach.  When the inevitable KU move to the Big 10 happens in the coming years. :driving: . ESPN wants this! We all want this.
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

i know how old he is and i referred to him as relatively young.  without arguing semantics, my point is that he’s not so old that it’s too late to start over, though he probably wouldn’t want to for other reasons than his clock running out

You could make a fairly strong argument that the KU job is better than the MSU job right now.

You could make a weak argument. And that argument would center on LL.

It's a much easier path to the CFP in the new big 12.  Doesn't have the stench of MSU athletics with Nassar and now Tucker.  Recruiting TX is likely more feasible from Lawrence than it is from East Lansing.

you could but only if you ignored the ten year $95 million dollar contract that msu signed with their former coach.

And about 50 other things but yeah.  One could definitely at least make an argument.

Lance would take most of his staff with him, if history is any indication. But I don't think he's leaving.

I don't necessarily disagree, but not a whole lot of Power 5 head coaches hired at the age of 60+. Off the top of my head, Brian Kelly and Mack Brown are the only ones I can think of in the last few years and those guys are obviously in a different category from Leipold with much longer track records at this level.
