ITT: Lots of people overreacting to a mildly bad loss (about a touchdown worse than the spread) that was due in no small part to our QB (apparently) getting injured.

Lol, we left a 5.2 40 qb when fully healthy on the field that was hurt and then split him out, even more lol. Keep telling ur selves CK is big time. Same crap old balls would’ve done. Awful decisions from Klans and CK.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

No reason for Will to keep playing in Q4.  He was not even 50%.

When was the last time KU was ranked above us?  Cuz that's about to happen...and could stay that way for a while...
I don’t see it happening this week given they haven’t had a chance for a quality win yet but could certainly happen next week!

We turtled up big time when it really mattered as per usual. Apparently everyone but the coaching staff realized the  criticality of our last possession. I liked what we tried setting up with Avery throughout the game but seemed like we got gun shy our last two drives.

I have never, at any point in my life, understood why coaches change from a system that was working to a mentality of "playing not to lose". We absolutely quit trying to win the game the last two drives.

Surely we can all agree that playing an injured 9th-year senior QB and a true freshman QB on the road are both bad options.  I put the blame squarely at Jake Rubley's feet.

He slid 5 yards from the 1st down in the open field, that can't happen.  Our last 4 drives got 3 total points because he could barely stand. We had Sinnott wide open for a huge play and he threw it 2 feet behind him, it's a throw he makes easily when healthy.

Rubley is a four-star QB out of CK's home turf, so WTF is wrong with his development?  I thought CK was a QB whisper, so what gives with this boy?

I used to get this butthurt over CFB losses, but it's just not worth it, bros(ephines).  I can come away from today happy knowing that we got to witness (and nearly benefitted massively from) a coaching faux pas for the ages (Drink's failure to get his FG squad on the field the first time).  He is one lucky dude.

I agree with this. His run game was gone.

It also impacted his ability to navigate the pocket and drive off his plant foot when throwing. Really tough to watch, I know he's a competitor and wanted to play through it.

The fact we can even post and get to this blog to load is a minor miracle.

Johnson should have played the entire 4th quarter with an actual receiver rather than Will limping around watching Avery run by him. Was a perfect opportunity to open up the playbook for him.

We held them to 3-13 on third down, less than 100 yards rushing, and still lost.
