We held them to 3-13 on third down, less than 100 yards rushing, and still lost.
Chunk plays lost us the game. LFBIQ here but my gut says that’s pretty fixable stuff. Failing to get QB pressure was a little disappointing and the OL getting beat was a bit surprising but nothing that really concerns me other than Howard’s health. I thought it was a good game. We had some stupid mistakes but so did they.

We shall see if it's fixable. Now that you're playing real teams, I expect that secondary to get tested a lot based on this game tape. I will reserve judgment. I still feel like KSU should have won that game. My guy Sinnott had some costly drops.

OUR guy sinnot took us for a real roller coaster ride today.  Some great Big-D Sinnot plays, and just some trash drops.  I still believe.

Outside of UT I don't think anyone has a player like Burden. He's going to be a huge problem this year.

If we aren’t a bad team this year, MU looks to be a pretty good team this year.

Haven't been this embarrassed since the last non-conference loss.  Not sure what was worse tonight........the secondary, O-line, Howard, or coaching.
Coaching without question.

lol, the secondary is very good, there isn't a better receiver than Luther Burden in the Big 12 and possibly in college football.

The safeties looked very slow today, but that could have been because they spent so much of the game out of position. Regardless, the front 7 stopped the run well enough to put up very nice 3rd down and red zone stats. The offense needs to be better. Howard made some throws that were just bad ideas, and he is leaning on Sinnot way too much, especially if Sinnot is going to drop first downs.q

Klieman said we were "confused" on the back end and that makes sense. The safeties are fantastic in run support but those two (three) guys working together aren't quite there yet. I think Burden getting them on the very first possession made them tentative and unsure all afternoon.

What’s the deal with leaving Will out there and basically playing 10v11 when Avery Johnson was in at qb?

Seemed problematic.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I just assumed that it was the only package they practiced for Avery, but that might not be the best reason.

It wasn't 10 v 11 Missouri still devoted a DB to Will. I could understand this sentiment if we called a pass play or if there wasn't a DB standing right in front of Will.

It feels like you're really working hard to find things to be mad about.

No ranked P5 should lose to an Eli Drinkwitz coached team.

easily the worst part of losing yesterday was losing to him.  flip side is maybe we did our sec buds a favor and he isn’t fired as quickly as he otherwise would’ve been?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Sort of like the old Roy Williams thinks (insert coach here) is doing a great job, or the same with LHC Bill Snyder . . .  kind of routine?  Only worse I suppose.

He’s in the SEC carousel now. If he gets fired he’ll just end up as a HC or coordinator on another SEC team.

Yes, and speaking of rascals who parlayed insane SEC boosters into a huge check to not coach.  That rascal Gus rolls into town next week.  Gus' second visit to BSFS btw.

Not really beat up about game much at all tbh. Figured it would be a tough game that we could lose.

Not sure what is more embarrassing, but...

I didn't get a picture of it (shame on me), but during their first offensive possession, the stadium jumbotrons flashed a message to all Mizzou fans instructing them NOT to cheer when their team has the ball - cause, you know, that's what good football fans do.

The Mizzou fans around us were shaking their heads and saying how embarrassing it was.
