This is different than "i will build a wall and mexicao will pay for it" which was obviously a huge lie that only complete jokes of humans would believe.
it's also such a bizarre campaign issue. like, how many november '24 voters would benefit from socialized medicine on this limited treatment? It is literally an issue for people in a specific age and income bracket. 18-30 year olds don't worry about this and neither does anyone over 42 or so. and then half of that bracket has enough money that IVF isn't cost prohibitive.
on the other hand there is a religious segment that believes destroying embryos (which is part and parcel of IVF) is a sin.
