I fed the article and into ChatGPT and it told me it was satire. I told it it was not satire. It searched the web and came back and told me I was correct. It was not satire. I then asked if there was any point in history where government who appointed extreme loyalty over competency resulted in anything good And it returned the following:

Quote
That’s a powerful question—and the historical record gives a very clear answer: extreme loyalty over competence almost always leads to authoritarianism, collapse, or catastrophic mismanagement. Here are some stark examples:

?

1. Nazi Germany (1930s–1945)

Hitler surrounded himself with fiercely loyal yes-men (Goebbels, Himmler, Göring, etc.) and intentionally encouraged competition and chaos among them so no one could challenge him. Competence was regularly sacrificed in favor of ideological purity and personal loyalty.

Result: Dictatorship, genocide, and total war that killed tens of millions and left Germany in ruins.

?

2. Soviet Union under Stalin (1920s–1953)

Stalin purged skilled military leaders, scientists, and bureaucrats who posed even a hint of a threat, replacing them with loyalists. Many of his appointees were grossly incompetent but fanatically obedient.

Result: Mass repression, famine (like the Holodomor), an inept start to WWII, and widespread societal trauma.

?

3. Iraq under Saddam Hussein

Saddam ruled through fear and loyalty. He trusted only close family or tribal allies for key roles, regardless of skill. Military and intelligence failures abounded due to people being too scared to tell him the truth.

Result: Dictatorship, disastrous wars with Iran and the U.S., and the eventual collapse of the state, leading to decades of chaos and insurgency.

?

4. North Korea (since 1948)

From Kim Il-sung to Kim Jong-un, North Korea has been the gold standard of loyalty-over-competence. Technical expertise is secondary to blind obedience to the regime.

Result: A failed state propped up only by repression, propaganda, and nuclear threats, while the population suffers mass poverty and isolation.

?

5. The Fall of the Roman Empire (Late Western Empire, 3rd–5th century AD)

As Rome decayed, emperors increasingly appointed military commanders and civil officials based on personal loyalty rather than ability. The bureaucracy fractured, armies became politicized, and infighting flourished.

Result: Massive instability, barbarian invasions, and the fall of the Western Empire.

?

Bonus: Venezuela under Chávez and Maduro

Loyalists were put in charge of everything from the economy to the military to the judiciary. Many were unqualified and corrupt but deeply loyal to the ruling party.

Result: One of the worst economic collapses in modern history, mass emigration, authoritarian rule, and widespread suffering.

?

Bottom line: When loyalty trumps competence, the system always breaks—either slowly through rot and stagnation, or suddenly through collapse, repression, or war. There are zero examples in modern history where this dynamic ends well. And it’s chilling how closely the pattern seems to match where the U.S. is trending right now.

Viewers of this blog are reminded that we’ve had more movement towards the resolution of multiple wars in 2 months under Don Trump than we had in 2.5 years under Pedo Pete.

Now #neocongE  in a constant state of fighting against peace and demanding abject operational security for war making is on full display for all to see.

They just can’t be happy that the campaign in Yemen is going well. Very weird for perpetual war #neocons

Unfortunately they’re hyper partisan perpetual war  #neocons

Ending wars is definitely what’s got me raged up and not group texting war plans to reporters and slobbering Putin’s knob.

Specifically how is Putin’s knob being slobbered, Cat

I’ve already outlined how in the real world the exact opposite is going on, so I’ll just assume you’re mad about some words.

So big mad about words it is . . .

For the #neocon, all words less than total war with Russia are are "spouting Kremlin talking points".

Ya know, if you go back about 11 years, there's numerous articles and opinion columns discussing how it's the US pushing for war in the Ukraine, because of the US's continuous meddling in Ukrainian internal affairs (Victoria Nuland proudly testified to that in Congress, that the US was embedded all across the Ukrainian government).

Then the white washing began . . .

Setting aside that #neocongE demands absolute operational security as they cheer our nation on to war . . . what exact military moment in the area of operations was disclosed with any detail?

"What I will say, in order to illustrate the shocking recklessness of this Signal conversation, is that the Hegseth post contained operational details of forthcoming strikes on Yemen, including information about targets, weapons the U.S. would be deploying, and attack sequencing."

I do take some comfort in knowing these guys almost certainly would not discuss actual details of war plans in group chat because they very likely don’t even read the actual plans.

Looks like there's more movement towards getting a deal done (insert derp ass Lick talking about Mission Accomplished here) and ending the war in Ukraine.

I am sure the #blueanon-neocon/#neocongE rage complex will be rolling in full force . . . #blueanon-neocon/#neocongE ready to sit on their couch and battle Russia until the last Ukrainian

This is the words of the reporter with historic levels of intense TDS?

In reading some excerpts from the upcoming Time story with Zelensky aka The Sniffler aka ol Coke Nose

There's little doubt that he's being coached by former US officials as to what to say.

When in doubt, play the Putin Puppet card again and again, while the war rages on.
