Lick, it's a fools errand because both sides claim that the other broke multiple agreements.

That of course changes nothing about the fact that United States meddled in Ukrainian internal politics, up to and including overthrowing a fairly elected Ukrainian president.

We would never stand for that on our borders no matter how many pieces of paper were signed before then.
I don't think fairl RESPONSE
This is a recurring pro-Kremlin disinformation narrative about Ukraine's Euromaidan protests, depicting the 2013-14 revolution as a coup d'état and laying responsibility for the ensuing Russian aggression on the West.

There was no coup d’état in Kyiv in 2014. The spontaneous onset of the Euromaidan protests was not provoked externally, rather, it was a reaction from several segments of the Ukrainian population to former President Yanukovych’s sudden departure from the promised Association Agreement with the European Union in November 2013, after pressure from Russia.

Only complete derps believe it was a "spontaneous" protest.

Nuland was literally on the phone with the Ambassador picking the successor

It's absolutely fantastic to see the Lick's of the world slurp up the propaganda from the same people who gave you rape rooms, incubator babies, Iraq has WMD's, Iraq is working with Al Qaeda . . . Nuland was literally right in the middle of the last two on that list with Dick Cheney and his PNAC friends which includes Nuland's husband and extended family   (who are now warmly welcomed into #bluanon)

i can understand why you are upset that Manafort and his Russian friends ran up against the will of the people but it doesn't change the desire of Ukrainians to align with the west rather than being a client state of a russian dictator

That's completely immaterial to the fact that Victoria Nuland - John McCain et. al. ran a regime change operation in Ukraine.

The fact that you keep playing the Manafort card only affirms that you don't have a single leg to stand on, so you're just looking to flail something at the wall and see if it sticks.

This is why the word in the underdeveloped countries was that if Victoria Nuland or Sam Power showed up, you could bet civil war, de-stabilization, color revolution and coups were soon to follow.

Victoria Nuland and the Ukranian Ambassador picked a new leader, and soon after the The Grifters Biden were up to the eyelids in Ukrainian corruption (as word is now arriving that Hunts was actually an illegal foreign agent going back years before his pre-emptive pardon coverage dates)

since 2012 the majority of Ukrainians have favored EU alignment (even in the easter regions such as Donbas)

turning away from Europe and the will of the people is what sparked Euromaidan

no amount of kremlin propaganda changes this fact

Then there should have no need for a coup.  Hold regular elections and let the people decide.

Instead there was a coup, and Victoria Nuland testified in front of Congress that the United States was ingrained in every level of the Ukranian government.

If you woke up tomorrow and read the transcript of a Wang Yi speech where he openly talked about the PRC being ingrained in every level of the Mexican government, and that President Xi had forced the firing of the Mexican state prosecutor and placed Xi Mingze on the board of PeMex, the next sound you would hear would be USAF bombers headed to Mexico.

The age old question is . . . who actually controlled the people doing the firing.

Lick . . . one of your boys on MSNBC was openly asking on air 11 years ago . . . "Why is John McCain on stage with Nazi's"?

There were a litany of opinion pieces in #blueanon go to media about how the US was setting Ukraine up for war, and entities like the NYT's were openly asking about who the CIA and DOD were training in Ukraine.

Just because you guys have white washed it all away, doesn't change anything.

It's like arguing with Russia Today, Lick. Anywhere his dear leader points him, Dax goes. Putin, to Orange Potemkin, to Dax.

U.S. President Donald Trump said he was "not happy" with Russia's intensified attacks on Ukraine, while speaking during an Oval Office meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on April 7.

"I'm not happy about what's going on with the bombing because they're bombing like crazy right now. They're bombing — I don't know what's happening there," Trump said.

But still no admittance by Lick that Russia invaded Ukraine twice while Dems were in the Oval Office.

Just more melting down about Trump

#neocongE is like listening to Dick Cheney and W Bush make the case for invading Iraq and babbling about the Axis of Evil and for us or against us

Even worse is watching #neocongE completely deny what the history books have already written about our actions in our own hemisphere and on our door step: Invasions - interventions - coups - assassinations - destabilization etc etc

what is there to admit?

Yes Russia invaded Ukraine twice while a Democrat was president.

Russia continues to invade today.

Trump not understanding that the warmonger is warmongering is problematic.

So the Russians can't take volunteers, but the Ukrainians can?

Of course they can, and do, which is why I don't understand why so many arm chair neocons in the US and on this blog aren't signing up and heading out.

Taking "volunteers" for an occupying army is a bit different, especially when you're the ones holding up ceasefire progress.

https://www.militarytimes.com/news/pentagon-congress/2025/04/08/trump-promises-1-trillion-in-defense-spending-for-next-year/

I assume it's a sizable cut right guys?

Tax cuts for rich people more military grift. At least they halted food aid to poor people that needed it and fired the people doing kids cancer research. Budget balanced........

The best part of reading what idiots like Stupid Fitz post is knowing that he didn't give a single solitary eff about defense spending until about an hour ago . . .  also knowing that he believes that all cancer research is going to come to a halt and knowing that he clearly wants the unfocused on mission money laundering grift that permeates our Federal government to go on forever.

will spending a trillion on military this year coupled with the big beautiful bill of tax cuts be good or bad for the deficit?

I don't think any sane person is arguing that any of Trump's policies will decrease the deficit or shrink the national debt. Both are impossible if you plan to shrink the economy with tariffs and cut tax revenue.
