#neocongE is simply not going to tolerate any of this peace talk.

It's a multi level pickle for #blueanongE/#neocongE

Level 1: Putin only invaded when beloved #neocons were in office: Bush (now a firm part of the #blueanon-neocon order), Obama and Biden.

Level 2: We were told Russia's military sucks

Level 3: Now EU/NATO leaders are back saying that Russia is a unstoppable military  machine and they will most certainly not stop at Ukraine

Mark F. Cancian is saying in so many words . . . it's a massive money laundering onslaught of waste-fraud-abuse filtered through a whose-who of politically connected NGO's and contractors. This is why that network (and it's massive board rooms full of former DOD Wonks) never wants this war to end.

Give Trump some credit.  That isn't the outcome, just his first position.  When you negotiate, you have to ask for more than your are really willing to settle on.  Standard stuff.

Maybe he just appears to be collapsing completely and like all his other promises he will absolutely not do it and pretend he never made the promise?

I believe the promise was to end the war in Ukraine.

It's okay to admit you're embarrassed for your guys, that's a better path than just blindly lashing out.

I suppose if you're flailing away out of embarrassment for your chair in the corner presidents, you seek out any thing to make yourself feel better

Remember that time trump and putin met and then after trump looked like a kicked puppy and told everyone that putin is more trustworthy than anyone in American government?

I imagine the "negotiations" will go pretty similar.

Remember the time that a sitting POTUS told Puts right hand man that he'll be more flexible after the election. Apparently that flexiblity was to not provide any level of significant armaments to the Ukrainians and let Puts take Crimea

I don't recall if that was before or after the time the same POTUS gave Russians bombing coordinates to our Islamic Jihadists in Syria . . . so Russia could bomb them on behalf of Assad.

I haven't been following the Ukraine stuff very closely, but hasn't it kind of been at a stalemate?

Yeah the conclusion if these “negotiations” has already been written.

#neocongE is really going to ratchet up the lashing out isn't it.

They won't touch the fact that Putin take big chunks of Ukraine under Obama and Biden's watch.  They're only Big Mad that Don Trump is having to deal with the mess.

So very on brand

What are your predictions of concessions that master negotiator Trump will get out of Russia?

I think Trump has made it very clear that his goal is to end the war.

What I find absolutely fascinating is . . . here we are in 2025, and #blueanon is still apparently fighting the Cold War.

Having a conversation with #blueanon is like talking to my grandpa and grandmas and them saying how couldn't let those got damn commies take over.

Even worse, is that #blueanon political and thought leadership are still trying to play the same tired cards that caused us to spend untold trillions on unnecessary weapons systems and wars, costing collectively millions of lives.

It's this weird combo of Strangelovin satire meets abject evil . . .its both unnerving and humorous

In the Oval Office on Wednesday, Trump demurred when asked whether Ukraine was "an equal member" of the peace process:

"I think they have to make peace," he said after a pause. "That was not a good war to go into."

Ukraine was obvs very silly to go into this war...

Zelensky didn't want the war, and he wanted to negotiate with Moscow.  (insert video of Ultra-nationalists threatening Zelensky here)

#blueanon-neocon wouldn't let him.

This is why Pedo Pete so desperately wanted him out of the country and out of the way.

The moral of the story . . . don't let Vicky Nuland and John McCain come in and overthrow your duly elected government because they wouldn't take an IMF loan (that would have handed a bunch of Ukraine over to MegaCorps)

What do you guys think the appropriate response was?  Keep fighting the war?
