The U.S. is set to pass an $858 billion dollar defense budget, which doesn't even include "emergency" expenditures to replenish stockpiles and continue to arm Ukraine.

This is a good sign. Probably better to have Patriot missiles protecting Ukrainian NICUs and kindergartens from Russian missiles than sending aircraft to destroy missile launch sites inside Russia. Not sure why this hasn't been done earlier:
