If there is one thing we know, it's that Brian Kelly is ok with people dying for college football. They'll be there.
A football player has died from covid? Please share the link.
Share the link where I said anything about a college football player dying of covid. Jesus dude, calm down.
I assume you are agreeing with me here. In my view it’s teams that have had coaching turnover that just don’t want to get their ass kicked with a transfer depleted roster.
I agree with that. I do think that the players would generally prefer to play anyways. I don't think the protocols are forcing the games to be cancelled, just constraining the rosters a little more and the programs are already hurting with coaching changes/transfers.
I also think comparing NFL protocols to CFB protocols is very dumb.
Good call. College players are younger and healthier. Probably a bad comparison.
College players aren't employees, generally live in shared housing, have worse healthcare, the program has less control over their schedule, and generally follow safety protocols worse than adults. Also, the programs have rosters about twice that of the NFL. Additionally, the NFL is a business run by billionaires with profit sharing for the players while the NCAA tries to keep the disguise of being about "student" athletes. The big bowls won't be affected because the programs want to play them and the NCAA wants them played. That's the same level of effort the NFL puts into every game.
But if you think the biggest difference is the age of the players then your understanding of nuance makes a conversation about this with you worthless.
