Who is buying 12 gallons of milk weekly who isn't for the USDA Special Milk Program?

also I feel bad about how much twitter is making fun of that family, it's less funny after watching the video - they seem like nice people.

Our vet can't get the full size bags of Science Diet large breed kibble anymore. Had to get a tiny bag for a big dog.

this past weekend at the farmers market, one of the vendors apologized for not having a larger plastic bag to put all of my food stuffs into, citing supply chain issues getting the larger bags. I brought my own bags so it was nbd but i'm seriously starting to consider moving to canada or wherever i don't have to put up with this BS

I’m hoping this is a catalyst to shift some production to Mexico/ increase automated manufacturing domestically.

World would be a lot better with more people like them. They're caring for a bunch of kids.

Resilience isn't cheap but sure would be nice in these 100 year pandemic times. Much like public health we will completely ignore it after we are over the hump.

I feel like covid put a lot of that in motion but obviously there's still a shitload of demand for products from Asia

Kids are awesome, even when they're assholes and can confirm how much they love the crap out of milk. Are they probably embellishing? Sure, but a lot of weirdos like to laugh off what's going on right now, because it's not affecting them individually.

My uncle crashed into a cow the other week. He said it's going to take a month for them to get the parts to fix his car because of the supply chain.

World would be a lot better with more people like them. They're caring for a bunch of kids.

What's wild about this is if they didn't adopt those kids there would be more government programs to assist them. Their generosity isn't being reciprocated by the government. Living in Texas probably isn't helping them either.

My wife's niece and her husband, foster parents who ultimately adopted started a pantry for foster parents in North Carolina.
