Of course no one thought that. But 21 points in the first rough ridin' quarter and giving up as many yards per play as OSU feels like taking is certainly unexpected.

With nothing but handing off to Deuce all 3 times. I mean, why even put a QB back there if you're not going to actually use him as a QB. Just line up in the wildcat formation and run it if that's the plan.

Of course it is, but you can't spend 12 quarters being hyped against the defense then completely throw it away at the very first awful quarter of the season.

Not to mention that on OSU’s first long run, that juke that left our defender (can’t remember who) in the dirt was one of the most embarrassing defensive plays I’ve seen in ages. Borderline blooper reel. We also had their qb stumble in the backfield and then scamper 11 yards for a first down. They are doing whatever they want to us and we look absolutely dreadful.
