I'm letting the wife take the lead on this. Happy wife, happy life. She's done a bunch of research, so just knowing that she's finally open to getting the vaccine now, is a breath of fresh air. Mild victory so far.

Yeah, she should totally get whatever is available. I would maybe punt the JnJ, but no reason to turn your nose at Moderna even though it is the second best one and not at all as good as the Pfizer one.

Everyone is different, but based on my experience and everyone I've talked to, you can expect a sore arm, maybe a mild headache the day after the first shot. The day after the second shot, you can expect to feel like you drank 15 drinks the previous night and had to get up and work on 4 hours sleep. And your arm will be sore.

That was definitely my experience. Shoulder was wrecked for about 36 hours afterwards. I'm thinking about getting the second shot in my other shoulder because 2 of those shots in the same shoulder might melt my arm completely off.

You'll be a bit sore, but prob fine then. You will feel like Tiger Woods hit you with a 9 iron the next day though.

24 hour Pfizer 1 update: Couldn't sleep on my shot arm last night. Bit of discomfort in the deltoid if I do a side lateral raise this morning. Fine otherwise.

You will be fine for the lessons but I wouldn't try and play 18 on thursday/friday.

I played golf 2 days after getting the 1st shot and it hurt everytime I brought the club back. Felt fine the day of the shot though.

I had some very minor under the muscle type arm pain. Very odd sensation.

Same for me with Pfizer. Second one was even worse, just a dull throbbing pain. My wife just had the normal shot pain and said it wasn't a big deal. Really interesting how it affects different people.

My chip 1 reaction was pretty mild. Some arm soreness but not worth even bitching about. I am dreading my second chip (but obviously that won't stop me from getting it).

i read online that to avoid having a sore arm after the 2nd shot, a large number of people are now requesting that they do what's called "a pupil jab" where they inject the 2nd shot directly through your pupil and into your brain.
