We're now 6 months in and zero insurrection charges.

But many many cases of the kind of ProgFascist shows of force and control that give your average rank and file ProgFascist a real case of the nether region tingles.

Hindsight is 20/20, but I bet the Oath Keepers regret not including a provision for not ratting out fellow Oath Keepers in their oath.

Flipping inherently scared and insecure MAGAs has to be like the easiest job in the world for the FBI.

I guess I need to know what the Oath is in order to determine if these guys are keeping it or not.

I doubt any of them know. Or, rather, they probably have their own interpretations of it.  It will be interesting to see which direction the government goes, here.

Tbh, this whole thing seems like a bug nothing burger imo.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

The thing where people physically overpowered building security in order to stop certification of votes because they didn't like the outcome of the election?

Nothing burger is probably a bit inaccurate.

That a couple hundred unarmed, yahoo MAGAs basically waltzed into the capitol and caused a ruckus, doesn't seem like a huge deal to me in the grand scheme of things.

That authorities seemingly knew about the good probability of such a thing happening, then largely allowed it to happen seems pretty big. That the riot likely gives unjustified reason to increase the state's authoritarian/totalitarian invasion of it's citizen's privacy is imo a big deal.

It doesn't need to be said, but what the rioters did was unbelievably stupid. Their reasons for doing so, imo, were also very stupid and short-sighted.

yahoo MAGAs basically waltzed into the capitol

Not at all accurate. There was a lot of physical violence. Many, many injuries. People died.

That authorities seemingly knew about the good probability of such a thing happening, then largely allowed it to happen seems pretty big.

That sounds big enough to the exact opposite of a nothing burger.

an attempt to alter an election outcome through violence or the threat of violence is definitely not nothing.

Hey hey hey only the ProgFascists can injure 50 secret service agents during the summer assault on the White House.  Over a crap show created in a ProgFascist stronghold (as usual).

I don't know why they are trying to make deals, is it to add a couple of more days to these sentences or a couple of more months to the probation these guys are getting?
