This coaching staff doesn’t like those kind of QB’s

What the eff? I know what you're doing here and it's very stupid. It was the same staff that recruited and developed Trey Lance.

This staff likes and recruits QB’s who can play in a Pro Style Offense , how is Trey Lance a deviation from that?

Is that really what you meant though? Who does recruit dual threat QBs anymore on a consistent basis other than Oklahoma and Alabama? You make it seem like taking supposed pro style QBs and running them a lot is something specific to this staff. It isn't a matter of what they like and don't like, it's pretty clear they like to run their QBs a lot, it's a matter of how the pool of QBs have changed. Didn't they offer a high 3* 2020 dual threat before settling on Howard? I think it's silly to assume this staff wouldn't recruit a QB that could run and throw like Ell, he'd be perfect for them.

Hubert deserves a spot on the gone list.

I was hoping for Sullivan to return.  Thought another year could help him (and certainly us) but if you're close, probably better to go this year?  Perhaps a less crowded group and anything you accomplish will still be graded against being a year older coming out in a more crowded class.

I didn't realize 2021 would have been Sullivan's 7th season in MHK

Fh has a 1-game lead over RP so far.  RP started 4-5 (1-4) in his 3rd year before KSU decided they'd part ways.

Depending on transfers, I think we could be alright.  Defense will be ugly (assuming we don't knock it out of the park in the transfer market), but offense should be hot sexy fire with Skylar back and Deuce being a bit more mature physically -- especially if knowles gets whatever plagued him this year figured out.

Plus harry trotter won't be getting 70 carries, which will be nice.

We are going to eat major crap the next two years at LB without some kind of transfer miracle.

Awefully bold predictions to say we'll beat Iowa State, WVU, TCU and Standford. Those games are definitely not gimmies.

We beat TCU with Howard. Stanford was OK this year. I think we'll have a tougher time with Nevada. We beat WVU this year with Sky for sure. Is Purdy back next year? I honestly have no clue.

People always say that, but Sproles didn't have any thunder.  I get that right now, Deuce probably can't handle a 20+ carry workload game in game out, but I don't necessarily think we need some badass daniel thomas clone (though it would be nice).  just give more carries to the best RBs we got, regardless of their style, IMO.

Don't think Deuce is built quite like tank though. He did take some big pops this season and hop right back up though.

Did you watch the WVU game this year? ISU is also going to go in dry on us in 2021. 2022 is our year.

Yeah, I was thinking of Oklahoma St. We would have won that game with Sky. Switch those games around.

2022 is our year.

2021 is year 3 for Kli, I doubt Gene gives a crap, but the fan base needs to see the program trending up next year as well.

Not sure what to say other than I think the team will win 6 games and Klieman won’t get fired.

Yeah, I guess I didn't really say much.

I could definitely see this team (the one that ended the year, with the guys leaving, and without some significant transfer contributors coming in) being 2-5 to start next year. That'd be a 2 wins in 12 game stretch of suck, with 2 of your last 3 wins being against KU. I'm at 5 or 6 wins in 2021 right now, but who knows what could happen if that's the record 7 games in.

If the team starts 2-5 and finishes 4-1 fans will be thrilled because they are very emotional and have short memories

Absolutely, I have them finishing 3-2 for now, just noting who knows what could happen if they're actually 2-5 and maybe there are lockerroom issues or something (again?). Just a stupid hypothetical.

For fun, what if something like a QB change to Rubley happens at 2-5, we finish 3-2/4-1 (5 w/ a bowl??!?), then the fans cream themselves the whole offseason waiting for 2022.

Yeah but Sproles was tiny his freshman year too.  Deuce could stand to put on about 10-15 pounds, which doesn’t seem too extraordinary.

will we ever have a kick ass defense ever again? I miss the days our DL would be in the backfield on every other play and our secondary knocked down every other pass.
i know our LB situation is going to suck next year but how much worse can it get from this year? I think the dL is going to suck too. We really need a DL coach who can recruit DL studs every year. Fork over another $250,000 per year and get a legit DL recruiter
