The answer to his questions for my family is generally not illegal immigrants.
You ever stay in hotels or eat produce from grocery stores bro? Eat in restaurants? Mexican restaurants?
I put the qualifier generally in there for a reason.
When we go places that require somewhere to sleep overnight (e.g. baseball or soccer tournament), we stay in our camper. Yes, we may stay in a hotel one or two nights a year, but we stay many more nights a year in our camper. If all hotels shut down, I simply wouldn't care.
We rarely go out to eat and I am confident that at most of the restaurants we go to, it is not illegal immigrants that are working there. The one we go to the most doesn't have dishes and the people working there as cashiers or cooks are not illegal immigrants. I imagine that there are some restaurants we eat at in a year that have illegal immigrants working there, but generally the ones we eat at do not. By far the people most often washing our dishes are ourselves. If all restaurants that employ illegal immigrants shut down, I simply wouldn't care.
The vast majority of our meat is raised by ourselves or farmers we know. We have also started to butcher the meat we have in our freezer ourselves.
We get a lot of our vegetables from our garden, friends' gardens or farmers that we know. We get some fruit this way as well. We do buy some produce at grocery stores. Overall, though, the fact that we have food on our table has little to do with illegal immigrants.
