tbf, i could have kept going, the corrected number (20-40k, but i don't know if that's accurate either) would still be pretty damning and most of the afghan evacuees don't have visas, there's no assurance that they'll get visas and biden admin hasn't earned any trust on immigration issues.

i'll happily admit i'd probably have kept going on the exact same situation if it was the trump admin.

Fantastic narrative.   However the Trump withdrawal plan had us out of Afghanistan in May of this year.  Your guy decided to go for the bullshit symbolism and extended the deadline until 9/11.   

Your party teamed up with the NeoCons and fought Trump on withdrawal every step of the way. Going so far as to both amend and overwhelmingly approve the amendment to the Defense Authorization Act to deny funding for withdrawal of troops in Afghanistan and deny funding on moving a scant few troops out of Germany (some moving closer to Russia FFS).

The culminating event  in the transformative progression from  PeaceNic ProgLibs to #blueanon/NeoCon

BTW the usual suspects are attempting to rewrite history and claim that Cheney et al didn’t actually block anything.  But they wait until they 15th paragraph knowing the average #blueanon won’t read that far before getting into all the hurdles their amendment demanded.

None of which were adhered to (but lied a lot about) by the current administration and with Liz Cheney and friends offering anemic protestations. Because they got what they wanted.  So blood is on their hands.

Because I'm a super intelligent highly aware person I know that Joe was referencing the Derecho wind event in Iowa.   But I hadn't realized that NOAA had changed the name/classification of Tornadoes, what are they called now?
