I think they'll probably pump him full of enough stuff, that they'll be able to prop him up and shove him out there occasionally, that he'll serve a full term.

As long as the earpiece and teleprompter keep working, I give it about an 80% chance.

I'm sure they'll be protracted lid periods that they'll need to rest ol Joe up.

If he doesn't resign before this fall, he'll serve full term. They won't disrupt midterm elections. After midterms, might as well ride it out and pass the nomination to Harris. Although the could resign directly after midterms, giving Harris no primary in the following election.

in the abstract sense, i'm very aware that we are much more polarized by party than we were in 2008, but i hadn't translated that to the realization that biden is much more popular with dems, and much less popular with 'pubs than obama was at this point in 2009, so this kinda surprised me.
