If you don't think someone who is in the top 2% earners in the country is rich, you are almost certainly self identifying as a moron, because there's very little chance said person is in the top 2% of IQ holders in the country.

There's a difference between being a high earner and being "rich." I think of "rich" as accumulation of wealth. While 300K/individual or 400K/household is solidly upper-middle-class earnings, it's not necessarily "rich," in my mind. Rich is not having to "earn."

Not me, not even close. I can't remember the last time money stopped us from doing whatever we wanted but we aren't close to having a net worth of $2.5 million.

Yeah terrible move on my part. Although from here it's easier to get into the good UC schools! Seemed like every California parent I knew sent their kids to like Oregon or Wisconsin
