The president doesn't have the power to do anything about mass shootings. Close to half of the US population is perfectly fine with these shootings happening all of the time, anyway.

Almost all of them were to repeal a Trump executive order. That's why they are worthless. The next guy can strike them down on inauguration day.

Setting aside your not understanding how executive orders work, I find it very hard to believe you would think it’s cool and normal for the head of the US military to issue an order taking away guns from citizens.

They could use reconciliation. They would have to make the assault weapons ban some sort of defacto ban through exorbitant taxation for it to qualify, though.
