I knew she had a shitload of money but national ads doesn't seem like the best way to spend it. Not sure what else I'm missing

Once again, she isn't the only person doing this, I've seen other candidates doing national ads during college football broadcasts, Cal Cunningham immediately comes to mind. It's clearly a strategy of the DNC and either they're chipping in or they've recommended it in close senate races.

it's a kstate game.  and live sports gets viewers that don't watch anything else.
Yeah but it was a nationally run ad, I'm assuming it could have been done locally. I've never seen a state political race advertised nationally before.

The same local ad buys normally don't appear on every platform, on cable buys. A national ad also hits voters who may be out of state at the time. Ads for these cable college football games aren't that expensive, it's why they have so many as seen on tv ads.

This is a good point, I can see how just going national is easier than trying to hit every state platform during the game. And yeah I didn't realize others were doing it too

Guys, just like with everything else, michigancat knows more about this than the people who do it professionally.

Think of how many kansas viewers there will be for the sunflower showdown

OMG, the ads will be glorious. I think both sides will be playing very dirty by then.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

It legit will be insane, I am assuming other than using that $7.2 mill to send me two mailers a day, most of that money will be spent to try and outbid Bollier on ads during the game

I'm seeing a lot of Bollier signage (both yard signs and along the roadways) out here in rural KS. More than I can remember for any previous Senate race. The last few weeks leading up to the election are going to be interesting.

That is impressive. We'll see how it goes down. Marshall/pubs are definitely scared.

Riley County Commission race-- Fanny Fang is good and looks like she has a good chance to win. Give her some money if you are so inclined, she could be the Tom Hawk of tomorrow.

He lost his primary, as did the guy who didn't pay his water bill for 40 years.

Interesting. I assume he represented one of the more rural areas of Riley Co.

I didn't know it was French, actually definitely Creole, until I saw her ad during the game last Saturday.

The only Kansas race that matters is Aaron Coleman’s.

I also hope this Bev-Hub deal works out

It is outrageous that Aggieville businesses were not given permission to do this.  The city should've just shut down traffic in Aggieville on Moro and the cross street that Mae's/Lucha are on (construction is already blocking one half of this major intersection).  Not sure if it is biz owners to blame for not wanting this though as I know a lot insist on a bunch of parking which is dumb and very counter productive.

Plenty of parking with that garage!

But people might have to walk as much as two blocks  :frown:
