7 year old has a history of mildish asthma. Was on breathing treatments for awhile, but was able to quit & never had to carry an inhaler. She also has a history of getting really sick with colds/flus really fast. Like she would go from 98.6 to 105 in 20 minutes then stay in 102-104 range for a week.

She got vaccinated for Covid the first day she could. She was a couple weeks out from her 2nd vaccine when the 2nd semester started, so she went back to school. In late January  she got Covid & it hit her kind-of hard. She never really got over it. Her breathing never went back to normal & was diagnosed with probable long Covid. She got bronchitis in March-April. Still couldn’t shake it & now has developed pneumonia.

Oh man, I'm sorry. My son (8) has been hospitalized 3 times and has had 2 ambulance rides from asthma. Always triggered by a fever. I don't know that he's gotten covid yet or not (I had it and was home with the family but he never showed symptoms) and he has been vaccinated. Breathing issues are the scariest thing in the world. I had them growing up and thankfully outgrew them and hoping my son does as well. He's been on QVar and now is transitioning to Singulair. Hoping she makes a full recovery soon.

That sucks & is way worse than what she’s going through. She’s had breathing issues for 3 months, but nothing more than discomfort/pain. We had an issue with the birth of the second where I thought she died for about 30 seconds & we ended up being lucky to go home with a healthy child. However, we’ve never had the ambulance ride/hospital because they can’t breath. That has to be the scariest thing in the world.

She did have an allergic reaction to tree nuts. Drove her to the hospital on a Sunday night, but her pediatrician called me back while we were in the parking lot. Her entire body was covered in hives. I had a bottle of Benadryl with me. He said don’t take her in unless her breathing changes because all they will do is give her Benadryl. We sat there for 2 hours until the hives went down. That night we learned she has paradoxical reaction to Benadryl & she had a psychotic episode. She was hallucinating stuff in her room, hallucinating that me & my wife weren’t us & trying to fight them/us all night.
I got a guy on the other line about some white walls

Many esteemed posters of this board have been playing fast and loose in the current COVID environs. One esteemed poster tried to peer pressure me into smoking his/her Delta 8 joint, and I had to Heisman his/her ass this past weekend.

Our 4 year old had a pretty strange sleepwalking episode a night after we gave him Benadryl for some allergies. I had no idea it could be an actual thing.

Don't forget you can get 8 free tests a month from your insurance. I just made a new order. Friend of mine who had avoided it until now just came down with it and I was with her all last weekend so figured I should test again

My oldest kid got Covid for the third time (11/20, 1/22, 6/22) last week. One of the woodwinds decided to come to band rehearsal while sick (sneezing / blowing nose). The director, at least three flutes and a brass player also got infected during the 1 hr rehearsal. She has fully recovered but missed a week of work and activities that she enjoys.

Man that sucks. Lil SF was sick last week. He is always sneezing and blowing his nose with allergies anyway so its hard to tell. I knew he was feeling bad and trying to fight it and he finally gave up and said he felt bad. That night his fever spiked and we tested him...negative. He barfed that night and ran a fever the whole next day. After 24 hours the fever was gone and he was a bit tired. We made him chill for another day just to be sure. The third day he said he was fine but his throat was a bit scratchy.....tested him again and....negative. I'm thinking the in home tests are mostly garbage. He had every symptom and still tested negative twice. Also, in hind site, I was pretty sluggish that whole week. After the negative tests, I just assumed I had a bit of whatever he had. I have still never tested positive, but there is very little chance I haven't had it.

Just got back from Paris.  Shockingly most of Mrs Wiley’s co-workers at the conference have tested positive for COVID.  Both of us tested today, and both negative.  We’ve yet to have a positive test but i have a 3 year old and an infant in daycare since last fall.  So, i’m not sure how it wouldn’t have come through our house.  But no one has had any noticeable symptoms if it has.

Yeah, I think it's this new strain. I felt sick for a week. Very congested. I read this weekend that each subsequent case is supposed to be worse than the last. I hope that's not the case for you and lil WW.

false positive. I tested negative twice so we retested lil WW and it was negative. Got a PCR one and it was negative. Guess it's just some other bug.

When was your last booster

November. I was planning on getting my second booster this week since I'm going to Portugal in about 8 weeks and wanted MAX immunity leading up to it.
