Hotel industry is absolutely mumped right now but for some reason, my company keeps paying me and has only done paycuts.  I expect that to change pretty soon.

95% of hospitality people I know are furloughed and 4% are at about 20% of their pay. You are truly the 1%

I have a more corporate position and am with a company that franchises far more than manages properties.  It has saved a lot of people in our company for the time being.  Pretty much all my friends/former coworkers at properties are gone.

Any update from the hospitality world?  Bookings appear to be rising slightly from the people I know but not enough to save most jobs in the short term.

It's super sad to hear all of these Dentists looking for jobs, because their previous employer can't open up because ..... "Insert the Northeast overall". So happy to be back. I'm averaging like 15 interviews a day right now. It's insane out there. Hoping everyone is safe and we all make a full recovery from this.

Woof! A lot of private practices lack ppe right now and are definitely taking their time with their slow openings. We're definitely lucky when it comes to this. Had to adjust our budgets to make it happen.

I had a dentist appointment yesterday!  I was unaware that they had even reopened until they called me Wednesday afternoon with a reminder.  Also they are not doing any cleanings or polishings at this time since it apparently launches a bunch of potentially Rona laden particles into the air.

Yeah, working on the mouth during this time is not ideal for anyone. We have 300+ offices, with full staff before the 'rona hit, and shockingly, only 1 person tested positive over all of this. I'm not even sure how that's possible.

Well I picked this dude because he's in the same building that I work at and him and his assistants came to work every day. Maybe they were just playing poker or something, I dunno.
