masks aren't worthless, they mitigate.

It's like saying a bike helmet didn't prevent you from getting a head injury or the flu shot didn't prevent the flu or vax didn't prevent covid.

a very on brand MAGA thing is saying non-n95 masks are worthless because they don't offer a lot of protection for your catching covid. this is on brand MAGA because that is mostly true, but they DO mitigate the spreading of your own covid germs to everyone else. but, why would MAGAs care about that? other people are not themselves! WGAF!

If you're not changing out N95's and they are not properly sealed, N95's are pretty much worthless.

In some environments, N95's have a very short lifespan.

Agree this is the more interesting angle. We’ve already seen “excess deaths” estimates all over which is pretty clearly attributable to COVID regardless of any testing. Could be that death rates aren’t as easy to calculate in those areas or better yet maybe those numbers do exist and I just haven’t noticed yet.
