Report from 1st World Alabama (now celebrating 6 weeks of drive thru testing):

"Safer at Home" announced today.   Thursday after 5 retail establishments can re-open at no more than 50% capacity, beaches will be re-opened on a limited bases with local and state law enforcement enforcing distancing and able to shut down at any time.   Bars-restaurants, hair salons/barbershops, YMCA's and similar, theaters, sporting events, concerts and all schools remain closed/cancelled until further notice.   As one would expect, there was a religious sub-committee advised by two former state health directors.  All churches are too remain closed and the CDC/WH guidelines for reopening will be strictly adhered to until further notice for churches and religious organizations.

Current Dean of UAB-Medicine and former Dean of Univ of Virginia Med School advising the task force.

I don't shop the retail stores that will be opening, so nothing is going to change.   Home delivery/drive-thru/curbside only until further notice.   If I do go out, the rule is mask on anytime the window is down around any person or outside the car.    We  only do curbside at places where the staff wears masks.

They won't do it, but they should have a mandatory mask order.

what is going to change your mind aka "until further notice" to do more than you just listed here?  What if you already ordered and the guy isn't wearing a mask with your food, just peel off?

I'm not so worried about the food.   Wife has a direct conduit into UAB Epidemiology and they say right now food/food handling is very low on their list of concerns, albeit they are monitoring that for any changes.     I'm talking about the few times we've had to step out of the car to deal with a curbside pick up for other items.   We've been trying to buy things whenever possible from local businesses.   But some don't use SHIPT or similar.

I feel like many gEs have been on this train for quite some time.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

So looking at the data today the hot spots for death count are MI , NY, NJ, IL, MA.  Could we restrict movement to and from those locations and start letting some other states open up a bit?
