Other than two of these it was a nice piece. Has contact tracing been mentioned at a national level? I've heard about SF librarians being trained to contact trace a couple of times but Massachusetts in this article is the only other place I've heard it discussed.

Not sure if this goes here or in the Kaep thread, but everyone check out Duke’s all-time leading scorer/New Orleans Pelican/SB IRL dear friend JJ Redick as he lets loose on President T.

Other than generically saying we need to contact trace all infection to feel better about reopening the country. Our health people said it's key but didn't give plans on how they plan to beef up capacity to do so.

We have a lot of unemployed people, it's an easy job they can do at home on the phone, I am not sure why there isn't organization at the local levels to mobilize them.

It’s sad, amazing and yet expected to watch a collection of mush brained easily manipulated useful idiots get whipped into a frenzy of doom and gloom every single day by a bunch of rando nobodies on Twitter.

But here we are.  Every single day.

After checking Twitter today it's clear that the press is going to focus on drinking bleach instead of contract tracing coordination at today's press conference

Contract tracing has gotten the attention of the media. Maybe less so now, but they appear to be doing both at the same time.

I recall a bunch of folks getting super upset at the prospect of using cell phones to help accomplish this.

Yeah. I'm more referring to the WH press specifically. They spend too much time on Trump saying dumb things IMO.

At this point, I'm much more comfortable with a coordinated effort by state and local governments than with any effort by the federal government.

oh, definitely. Pretty much everything would probably be better if the federal government was completely out of the coronavirus response entirely because it's been so bad.

Guys here is an accurate story about yesterday's discussion.

“I just threw it out as a suggestion and it seems like that might be the case,” Trump said while mocking members of the media for criticizing his past comments.

The whole story really captures what was said yesterday

i generally agree with the overall point being made here

that being said it is hard to gloss over the fact that the Pres advocated for disenfecting peoples internal organs and getting the light "inside of them"

So if this thing is in the lungs and chlorine kills it.  Well that sounds promising.  Could we make chlorine into like a gas and have people breathe it?  I mean I am not a doctor but that sounds like something we should look into.  I mean I have a very good... well you know.  So yeah chlorine gas it really could be something.
