Newsom was supposed to outline a plan for re-opening the state today. He sorta did - it's more like a plan to determine criteria that will allow reopening and is still pretty vague.

@sys while it appear new cases are going down, isn’t overall daily testing going down as well?

it was yesterday, but that was probably just a weekend/easter effect?  data is still coming in for today, but yeah, if it ends up being only another 120k tests today that'll be weird.

The sad thing would be a venn diagram of people who wouldn't want to give that data to the government and people who want to get the economy going at the expense of at-risk populations.

And who play the crap out of candy crush

Their website system is 40 years old. The news reported it. Maybe they should have projected their funds better over the years into updating their system. But, yes, thank you for proving you dgaf about humanity unless they do and think exactly like you. You sound like a real petty POS IRL.

It's relatively unimportant, but really going to be sad/crazy how the music industry changes (and how that impacts cities)

https://twitter.com/nananastia/status/1250150277455286272

If you can't go to things like concerts and sporting events and great restaurants, living in a "major city" becomes way less attractive.

They've added 3,000 to the NY death toll based on the presumption that the people died from CV-19.

Meanwhile I believe I saw where other countries (Germany for example) list COD as the underlying condition if one exists.

But Tommy Lee and the Crue say the tour is on, and Ticketmaster is holding that cash until it's cancelled.

or I believe that social safety nets are important even when we are not experiencing global pandemics and vote to support candidates that share this sentiment even though I have been blessed to have never needed them

instead of voting against them and then bitching about the wait in the breadline

I had tickets to two concerts this week that are "postponed" so no refund.

They were Carly Rae Jepsen and Orville Peck in case you were wondering. Also have tickets for Covid 19 survivor sturgill Simpson that is also postponed.

 @LN You think I’m worried about me? People who live pay check to pay check, like waiters, bartenders, etc. are going through this right now. I tried to share my experience during this time and you decided to use it as a crutch to shame people who don’t vote your way. They haven’t updated their system in 40 years! What are they doing with their funds? Clown!

FTR, I think Clay Travis is a huge dumbass and I've thought that ever since I discovered him and his BS about how the SEC was going to make Elventy Billion more dollars than everyone else.

My overall thoughts on Travis remain unchanged.    But Twitter Feeds, man . . . you look and there's stuff there, you know.

Have a great day cRusty.

Bummer

Mrs Dax and I are quite pissed because we had found two GA passes at cost to the Hang Out Music Fest, and it is cancelled.   Their fastest sell out ever and the lineup was IMO absolutely monster:  Chili Peppers, Post Malone, Billie Eilish, Lana Del Rey, Cage the Elephant and a bunch more.

We also have access to Shaky Knees in the ATL, and right now it's not cancelled.  But it will be.  :(

very anecdotal, but it does kinda seem like crowded indoor events where lots of people sing or shout together is pretty much the most efficient way to infect other people.
