I was hospitalized about 5 times growing up for asthma issues. usually just woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't breath. my son is 6 and has had two ambulance trips to the ER with overnight hospital stays for asthma attacks. Usually takes a couple days to get his oxygen levels back to normal and will be on constant albuterol/oxygen mix for those days before we can leave the hospital. Mine didn't seem to be caused by any certain thing but his has always been viral. he'll pop a fever and all of a sudden just can't breath. he's on an inhaled steroid twice a day and this is nightmare fuel for me. The only thing that makes me feel better is that it sounds like no children have died so far?

Yep youngest reported death is still 14 I believe. Our daughter is diagnosed with a disease where respiratory infections are extremely common during colds, so we’re in the same boat. Honestly the bigger fear for us is if something else life threatening like flu hits her when hospitals are overcrowded.

it's kinda crazy how these right wingers worried about their 401k don't seem to realize how dangerous it is to get the flu or how grateful we should be that we get vaccines for it every year or that the current hospital system is set up for a largely vaccinated population and not like half of people getting the flu.

Also love the argument that most people who died with covid really died of two things! So just carry on

Last week TBT made a huge speech about how many dumbasses there are out there during this pandemic, like me going out to eat with the Mrs, while he was traveling in a plane from the West Coast. Literally talked crap about people and the virus before he left on his trip and still went and decided to crap on everyone out there leaving their house while he was chilling at the bar with his buds in AZ and hopping on planes. my wife flew home wed. we all are doing things we know are unwise because the alternatives seem worse. furthermore, we all did things one week or two weeks ago that in now in retrospect seem to us unwise.
