He's undoubtedly correct that many cases go unreported, and so the death rate of anyone contracting the virus is lower. The problem is that he is talking about a definition of death rate that no one uses.

I've been reading quite a bit about isolation and shutdown of stuff in an effort contain and stop the spread. 8MP's tweet post is just one of several. I'd think the economic effect of that would be more than the world can withstand.
