Once again, a big thanks to Don Trump and the $10B plus invested in Operation Warp Speed which will bring about the true end to the pandemic. Not some dumbass lockdowns or task force full of people who don't want to live or think we need to send the vaccine to far off lands first.
The US is approaching 170M total tests which will equate to 500K tests administered per 1M people.
All efforts need to put into the logistical network(s) needed to distribute the virus. After reading an article in DefenseOne today. I was reminded that for the most part, highly paid state and local public health employees and agencies are utterly worthless. Despite receiving billions of dollars in CARES Act money (many of it still unspent) and with months and months heads up, most states still have not developed a proper vaccine logistical network. All of those people should be fired, now.
So in this case, I will side with my good friend Hyperpartisan Drama Queen CoronaBro Phil Titola and say that the logistical groups of our DOD who are already working on getting the vaccines to each respective state, need to take over the entire process. As I am reminded once again that the paper pushers at the state and local level simply cannot handle anything close to this magnitude.
