Also, SlideIT has been a life saver.  Love that app (since swype is no longer there for the EVO)

i think you need to root or pay sprint to wireless tether.

That's stupid. My stupid touch pro 2 can do it free.

there's  a difference between the phones and it's the 4G capability of the EVO.  people really can't take advantage of tethering with a 3G EVDO connection, that's not the case with the pipe that 4G affords you.

there is no root yet for the software build you have, assuming you have 3.30.   which i'm guessing you do.

I need something on my phone that's like iTunes on my computer, where I can subscribe to podcasts and it continually downloads new ones onto my device that I can listen to whenever.  Stitcher only streams the latest episode.  Alternatively, if there's a simple way to download onto the phone an mp3 from an mp3 link that I'm too to figure out, I could do that.

yeah, I haven't tried tethering and probably won't.  Mrs. dave's laptop is much smaller and has a sprint 3g card so we just take it everywhere we go.  If we ever get 4g I'll prolly fire it up though.

I wanted to try out the free lite version on my home one, even though yeah, I'm not sure how often it'll be useful between already having the phone and laptop wi-fi most places.  Kind of wanted to see how good it was though before buying the full version to use for my work computer from courts in kansas hick towns.

You're missing out on like, so many goEMAW podcasts its not even funny

The easytether process was going fine until I usb'd by phone into the computer.  Then the computer wanted to load drivers and whatnot.  I'll try it again later after I've restarted and see if it goes better.

That iSyncr looks like just another thing to move existing iTunes music from computer to phone.  What I'm looking for is something that acts the same way on my phone as iTunes does on my computer.  I only use iTunes on my computer to subscribe to and constantly download podcasts I subscribe to.  I don't want to move those downloaded podcasts from computer to phone.  I want the phone to download the podcasts I subscribe to directly onto my phone.

Thanks, 'clams.  I used that workaround in the comments on how to get the feed info off of itunes to be able to manually subscribe in Listen.  I'll try using this for a while and if it doesn't work out, I'll get one of the other apps from that article.
