_fan when you stopped in to the ku game thread I felt very calm about the game. Your cautious tone makes me think Saturday could be disappointing

my analysis:
- they lost to texas southern and stephen f austin.
- their best player is a dude who transferred from yale. YALE. he's an undersized guard. barry will lock him up. his name is also makai, white people name white people shame.
- they suck at 3's.
- they have a guy named flo thamba, mo bamba's evil but cooler twin.

my prediction: the zone will be broken.

So Texas destroyed Baylor last night, did Baylor stay in zone the whole time?

Looks like shutting down Mason might be more importanter than being perfect against the zone.. or maybe somewhat equally important

The key to our game will be rebounding. Mason will not go off because we'll switch everything and all the guards can defend. They're the best offensive rebounding team in the league and we're the best defensive rebounding team. I wish I had someone tip nerd out with and do a film session as to why we rebound so well, despite having an elite rebounder like Baylor does. What we do on the boards as a team is impressive.

Would be a good game for Cartier to get some more minutes. Should help with the D rebounding.

I think his presence in the second helped to break KU's zone too.  He's a little more creative on offense than the rest of the guards.  Stokes/Brown seem content to pass back and forth for 12 seconds at times.

With all the turnovers we cause plus rebounding we get so many more chances to score. Wonder how kenpom weighs that in. Probably doesn't cause he's a dumbass.

He got jacked in the jaw pretty good last night against the Horns. Didn't play as much as he normally does.

The problem is that we don't get a lot of run outs from rebounds and that's by design. If you notice you'll see Kam around the free throw line quite a bit on defensive rebounding opportunities. Teams that want to push tempo would have him leak out to the hash marks for an outlet. For most teams they will not send their point guard to the offensive glass to prevent the run out. So essentially we sacrifice getting run outs from rebounds to get an extra body on the boards.
