Prisoners - holy crap. some fantastic performances, outstanding script and direction, and ultimately an incredibly emotionally draining experience. i recommend if you're in the mood to get emotionally invested for 2 hr 45 min

I heard it's amazing outside the final scene. Confirm/deny?

I didn't have a problem with the last scene.

I saw it by myself yesterday afternoon and it took me a while to stand up and leave when it was over

Watched "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World". If you want to chuckle a bit, but also contemplate life and where you fit in, then I think it's worth a watch. I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. I found myself asking myself some deep-ish questions after the film. Maybe it was just the mood I was in though.

Definitely seemed weird for a minute, but I think it's a testament to their abilities as actors that I forgot all about that pretty quickly. I think Steve Carell is pretty underrated as a serious actor.

Watched Kings of Summer.  It was more of a comedy than I was expecting, but I should've been expecting a comedy.  It's a fun little movie.  Some of the jokes fall flat, but definitely worth the hour and a half runtime and the dollar at a redbox.
