Godfather I and II have aged incredibly well.

Untouchables has not.

I am trying to figure out a time when I can watch Once Upon a Time in America for the first time.

Spaghetti Westerns are timeless.  The Good, Bad, and the Ugly is still tremendous.

Smashed is an independent film that came out last year. Aaron Paul and Mary Elizabeth Winstead are married and both alcoholics. It has some of the best acting I've ever seen, mostly by Winstead. Would highly recommend if you're into that sort of thing.

Scarface (1932) -  watched for my wild wildcats film class, it's pretty good. Enjoyed the camera work a lot for such any early movie.

Watched Sharknado last night and I have a few thoughts:

1.  rough ridin' awesome.
2.  "Sharknado 2 the Second One" is a great title for the sequel
3.  "We're gonna need a bigger chopper."  Best line of the movie.
4.  Ian Ziering should have been the next Batman.
5.  This would be a great movie to watch before a football game.  Can you imagine if you put four or five gE elites in a room watching this movie?  crap's gonna get real.
6. Sometimes special effects can be so bad, they actually make the movie.  This is one of those instances.

glad you enjoyed it lopak!  how about that chopper scene?  pretty clever way to dispel sharknados IMO!

ziering really gave his all in this one.  kinda breathtaking.

I know right.  It's shocking that scientists have not tried this before.  Some propane, a timer and a flare.  Poof, instant sharknado repellant.

True story, I was in LA about 10 years ago at a party and I saw Ian Ziering.  I was too afraid to say anything to him.  If I ever see him again, I will not make that same mistake.

10 years ago would have been the perfect time to go schmooze with Steve Sanders. Now?  On the heels (fins?) of success of Sharknado and the upcoming sequel??  Forget it.

Prisoners - holy crap. some fantastic performances, outstanding script and direction, and ultimately an incredibly emotionally draining experience. i recommend if you're in the mood to get emotionally invested for 2 hr 45 min
