You guys serious? The whole time they were at the airport I couldn't really breathe. Reminded me of the Boxcutter episode of Breaking Bad, or the opening scene of Inglorious Basterds.

completely serious. to compare that scene to the opening scene of Inglorious Basterds is off base, imho. some directors have a knack for drawing anxiety out of the viewer. Kathryn Bigelow has it. Tarantino has it. Ben Affleck does not. Part of the reason is because he doesn't develop the relationship with the characters and the viewer. I found most of the people in Argo to be completely static and was unable to relate with their circumstance or the challenges they faced.

Agreed on the characters. But it worked for me for some reason. We didn't know the characters at the beginning of Inglorious Basterds, either. I really didn't think I would be alone on this. Maybe I just related with it because of my time in Uganda. Being the only white person in crowded places like that is pretty nerve-racking, even if you're not being sought out to be tortured. But I also can't imagine I'm the only person in this discussion who has experienced that.

No one has made more hateable motion pictures than Sam Raimi.
:D

I like Darkman, The Evil Dead trilogy, and Drag Me to Hell.

Suspect Zero - what a piece of crap.   Great idea, good cast, rough ridin' worst directed movie I've seen in a while. Give this to any half decent director and it would have been pretty good.

Chasing Mavericks -  Not a great movie but enjoyed it. Really pulls at the old heart strings and a true story about surfer Jay Moriarity. Worth watching. Great surfing action.

Watched bits of this on a plane this spring.  Found it absolutely horrible. personally.  Seemed way beneath Gerard Butler.  Everything about it seemed absurdly cliche.  I fell asleep 3/5 of the way through it.

I rented "Killing Them Softly." When I got home I asked myself why I had rented it. I had rented it just because I do like most of Brad Pitt's movies. I, then, thought to myself how stupid it was to rent a movie for that reason. The movie sucked. I'm sure they made enough money off of idiots like me, though.

Saw the hobbit and django two weeks ago.  Django was good.  The hobbit was not.  Just a big stall so they could make three.

I saw Pain and Gain (Michael Bay) last night.  One of the worst movies I have seen in 5 years.  Do not waste your money on this movie.  I honestly would rather have watched a made for TV Lifetime movie than this crap.  Best part of the movie was the trailer for Star Trek: Into Darkness.

Learn from my mistake please!

im actually in the process of reading the book (havent seen the movie) but i can tell you right off the bat that time cruise, who is like 5'-8" tops, should not have played reacher, who is vividly described as like 6'5" and built. maybe dwayne "the rock" johnson and vin diesel were booked?
