Wait, is Companion a sequel to Barbarian?

Prequel  :crossfingers:

I thought Barbarian was pretty bad, fwiw. Would/Will still watch.

Kids movies updates:

Dogman was true to the comics and not particularly good. Kids liked it though.

The Sonic movies were better than expected. Haven’t seen Sonic 3 yet.

Watched a motion picture over the weekend with my 14 year old on Disney+ called 'Chang Can Dunk'. I did not have high hopes. It was actually really good. Funny, touching, and the basketball was passable as real basketball.

Rewatched Gone Baby Gone for the first time since it came out. One of the best movies that not many people have seen. 6.5/7

Yeah it's pretty good. I do get tired of Boston being obsessed with how hahd of a town Boston is, though.

Phobe -  :raccoon: :raccoon: :raccoon: :raccoon: :raccoon: :star: :star:A very Canadian movie made in 1994 for $250.  What type of movie do you make with $250?  Sci-fi with full-on special effects and lightsabers.   The mulleted hero is below.

I don't disagree with that, and it was on my mind multiple times throughout the movie. But since I was trying to watch it through the lens of Mrs. Stevesie who hasn't seen any of the "EH LOOK AT BOSTON IT'S CRAZY!" movies, it was extra fantastic.

I watched Cordially Invited (Starring Will Ferrell and Reece Witherspoon) last night on prime and it was a disappointing 2.5/7. There were a couple of classic Will Ferrell moments but overall the movie just didn't work well.

Heretic is a better version of Barbarian. Not perfect but good.

I watched iceman on prime and it is filmed in the Austrian/Italian Alps and it’s essential a historical fiction of Otzi the iceman. They speak but there’s no subtitles.

 5/7

I watched Carry On. Wasn't anything exceptional but for a Netflix movie I enjoyed it. It's kinda weird watching Jason Bateman be the bad guy.

I watched Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1 yesterday afternoon before the Super Bowl. It was pretty shitty. I had been looking forward to it before it came out over the summer. The scenery looked really nice and I've enjoyed Costner's earlier work. FWIW, I haven't watched a single episode of Yellowstone. I had started it a couple times but turned it off after 15-20 minutes because I realized I didn't have three hours to watch the whole thing. After finally watching it in its entirety I cannot say that I'm particularly interested in any of the storylines shown. I was surprised to see Luke Wilson in this, but even that didn't do much for me. Chapter 2 looks like it may have some potential and I imagine I will watch it, too.

Poorly written and poorly cast IMO

One of the kids was reading Into the Wild for English class this semester. I re-read the book and I'm really enjoying the movie.
