I watched Little Things on HBO, the new Denzel, Leto, and Malik movie.  It is slow and boring, and nothing really happens.
Well then let me introduce you to “the dig” starring the incomparable Ralph feinnes my good man.

*I’m so desperate for new movies, I’ll watch anything with competent acting and enjoy it as I enjoyed these two films

Watched "Palmer" last night.  JT is a very good actor.  I totally bought him as an drunken ex-con.  It was a very good movie.

@Dlew12 had recommended to me "Lars and The Real Girl".

csourk's thoughts: Very good motion picture. Great story. Good characters and acting. Very heartfelt.

5.5/7

Just saw this. I enjoyed and I'm not sure why. I guess I liked the townspeople.

Slaughter of the Innocents -  :star: :star: :star: :raccoon: :raccoon: :raccoon: A HBO offering that tried to tie in the violence of Silence of the Lambs with an incomplete understanding of the internet.  A cop takes his 9 year old son to gruesome crime scenes to do his job for him.  Ends with an ark going off a desert cliff

The Little Things ... i didn't think it was that bad. if i had to give it a personal Rotten Tomatoes it would be a 68. the cast was fun to watch at least.

Got around to The Irishman last night - 5/7.  The story and acting was good, it didn't even feel like a 3.5 hour flick.  I chuckled a little bit when I saw Bo Dietl and Lois from Goodfellas.

Spy Games - 3/7

Features Robert Redford and Brad Pitt. Robert is a CIA operative, recruits Brad and serves as his mentor. Brad gets in some trouble and the CIA seeks Robert for info on Brad. I didn't like the format of the film. It was shots of Robert's former work with Brad.

I think it's better than a 3 but I admit just sort of smiling every time Brad and Bob are on screen together

xpost w/ social media is destroying the world thread: Fake Famous, an HBO Documentaries film, is really good. It's of the ilk of The Social Dilemma, minus the weird and unnecessary dramatic reenactments. The thesis of the film is that you can take three random people and make them fake (internet) famous merely by sleight-of-hand tricks.

I had only seen bits and pieces here and there of Kill Bill. Bored as crap, I decided to start them from scratch today. Just finished the first one and started the second one just now. So damn good.

i watched this and thought it was kind of a let down. out of the 3 people they chose 2 of them weren't even interested in participating in their experiment. the one who did participate seemed to look down and talk crap on influencers all while doing the same thing and capitalizing on it. it felt like the pandemic ruined their idea of the documentary and they kind of scrapped together an alternate ending. (which is understandable)

edit: 6.5 / 7

it's a little too long and loses some steam, but man the first act is really something

PG - Psycho Goreman - A couple of kids find a monster hell bent on destruction in their backyard.  One of the children holds a magic stone that controls the monster, to his frustration.  I recommend it as an entertaining popcorn movie.

Has anyone seen Get Him to the Greek? Russell Brand and Jonah Hill.  Spin-off sequel to Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

It's one of those movies that's pretty bad, but really funny all at the same time.
