I don’t know how else to put it. It wasn’t a slight towards the message of the movie.

Blackkklansman - 5.5/7 - embarassed that it is only the second Spike Lee film that I have seen after Inside Man
What held it back from the elite 6-7 tier for you?
I’m with waks there, 5.5 seems right. The storytelling was a bit heavy handed to be higher than that
I think the heavy handedness was sort of what they were going for (Django-ish comedy)
I didn't like Django very much  :surprised:

Yeah. Also I am very partial to what's going on and I've never heard the vocal-only version of the title track so that was awesome. But I'm very good at these predictos. Knew it belonged to Christoph Waltz in 2008 before I even left the theater

Knives Out - very enjoyable, as was Daniel Craig's accent!

Dunkirk - okay, but probably won't watch again.

I thought I had watched The Adjustment Bureau but after watching it I don’t think I had. Was a good flick.

Watching a second time was just as good!

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga

Look, I'm not going to strongly endorse this movie, but its in the same vein of "Blades of Glory" and the like. If you're into silly comedies with nothing really to say, you might enjoy it. Honestly, the lack of a reason for the movie to exist might be one of its selling points.

It's not easy.

Frost/Nixon was good.  The guy who played Nixon (awesome old dude from the Americans) stole the show.

Yeah it's good. There used to be a multipart doc on netflix about the interviews too that's good. Dunno if it's still on there.

Got around to watching "The Banker" on AppleTV+ last night.  Was pleasantly surprised.  Kinda Disney-ish, but completely engaging movie nonetheless.

Irresistible- new Jon Stewart movie starring Steve carrell.

Awful. Very, very bad.

Stewart and carrell seem absolutely washed.

I was amused by this movie.  It's never going to be called "great," and probably shouldn't even call it "very good."  I went into it with super low expectations, and I ended up kinda having fun watching it.  NOT A WASTE!

12 Monkeys

3/7 it would have been a 2/7 if it weren't for a young Brad Pitt.
