No Big 12 refs and a long, lean, athletic Kentucky team.

ngl that one player is lucky, no warning and have that swing out as you run underneath it. Lucky he wasn't concussed or cut up (I'm assuming he wasn't)

:Lurk: rumblings.
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

NCAA penalties usually don't leak, they're not going to tell the school then just leave it hanging out there, especially if a hall of fame coach is getting a one year show cause. Considering that show cause would also lead to his top assistant being fired.

Where are we at with the sanctions? My buddy from the gym has been insisting that the NCAA is going to lower the boom any day for two years now but I think their brand is too big for the NCAA to hold accountable, esp after they win the One Shining Moment on Monday night.

According to Emmert (sp?)the independent committee is re-investigating the whole thing.

Just feel bad for the victim, KU.  Based on this season it looks like Bill and Kurt did indeed find some guys.

From CBS:
"Coaches will not be able to visit recruits in person again until mid-September. Whether Self and/or Townsend will be allowed to resume full recruiting activities by then remains to be seen. As for how much damage control this move will help in Kansas' bid to avoid significant punishment from the IARP, industry sources believe a significant suspension for Self and a potential postseason ban for the Jayhawks are penalties that remain on the table."

Does he still get his pick of coed after each game or is he suspended from that too?

Just hate to see this victimization get to such a personal level.   KU basketball is victimized by an evil mega-corp, by proximity Kurt and Bill were victimized by said evil mega-corp, and now Kurt and Bill are taking even more from The Man.

The infractions case has dragged on so long that none of the players were even involved in the case.

Yeah, it sucks for the current players that the school chose to do that to them.

Is Self oing to not be on the bench for games, or is he not going to be act practice during this suspension?

Yeah, suspension for games doesn't seem like a big deal if he can be at practice.
