He's getting the Spurs gig.
I told you guys before, Becky Hammon is getting the Spurs gig, not Bill Self.

No doubt Pop would prefer that, but he's not the decision-maker.  I don't see him pulling an OBz to try to outlast when Seff will need a new job.

General long weekend in KC observo's:

1.  Tremendous amount of Rock Chalkers out and about and clearly not paying any attention to the KU vs Okie Lite game.   Given up on the season already?

2.  KU side of the family (2 actually attended KU out of 10 plus) openly cheering for Baylor (not gE'ing).

3.  Lots of talk about KU recruiting, nary a mention of the Adidas issue.   Conversed with an EMAW cousin (senior executive at well known KC based company, lots of Rock Chalkers report to him) and it was decided that nary a  mention of the FBI issue would be made out of fear of disrupting a joyous family event and having the KU side of the family leave angry and early.   It's our usual tact to only speak of KU in the most glowing of terms or nod approvingly as the KU side of the family prattles on about the glory of KU basketball (not gE'ing)

JFC Sqwawks, go down with a little dignity:

TCU knows they have to win tonight to get a spot at the NCAA Tournament.

If you're in the DFW area, get tickets to that game. Root your heart for the Frogs...or Horned Frogs, whatever. Stupid mascot. Cheer them on like you've never cheered before. Figure out who's on their roster and start learning their chants. Bring an airgun to the game and start sounding it off when K-State players are at the free-throw line or about to shoot a jumper. Bring in bricks and throw them at Weber every time he acts like he can walk anywhere on the court during the game. Get arrested. We'll start a GoFundMe page to pay your legal

They’re enraged, I’ve never seen a fan base so enraged and so desperately rooting for other teams

It’s . . . sad

We can all thank Vick for us having to watch this dogshit game hoping some dogshit team upsets another dogshit team...

Dude should never set foot in lawrence again.

eff TCU

Quote
At this point it’s hard for me to even care.

After all the greasy turds we dropped this year, if we had somehow backed into another conference title in spite of all the injuries and suspensions and whatnot, I would have almost felt sorry for the rest of the conference. The fact that we even had a chance was making me wonder whether the conference as a whole is unworthy of our program.

Quote
It’s incredible. Outside of that Iowa State game, no one has gone off on K-State. Yeah, they’re good defensively but there are still open shots out there. Everyone just happens to brick them when playing K-State. Just the way the cookie crumbles this year I guess.

Quote
Of course TCU is missing all their open 3s. Against KU they made garbage guarded 3s.

Quote
This ballgame is over. What a classless effort by TCU bums.

A few more...

The "fix" is in. B12 doesn't like the look of KU winning the conference every year. Seeing an opportunity to stop the streak and everyone in on it.

Oh well, it's been a fun 14 years, we did something the 70's UCLA couldn't do, nothing will ever take that record away

Except maybe Adidas.

Maybe we can take the Iowa State route and win the useless Big XII Tourney title and claim it crowns the true champion, or some kind of bullshit like that.

I was hoping someone would do gems!

But one was missed where some dude said something like "how is it that K-state teams always play like crap against them" or something like that. Was pretty lol, like yea, how does that happen almost every game?  Reality can be hard to see sometimes when you're nose to nose w/ it.

I would much rather get every team’s worst night instead of actually being good on defense anyway.

Why does every team suddenly become incompetent when they play K-State?

Yea, why is that?

I learned about STRA1G4T in the 1 thread. Am I understanding correctly? KU promoted the 2018-19 season by referencing the streak? And it looks like 2018-19 season actually ends the streak??? Wow.

KU is so much better than UCLA was, they couldn't even win 14 titles in one decade.

I mean, the PAC 12 did not and does not do shared titles, right? KU would have not won the conference (under the same circumstances as '70s UCLA) three times over their "streak" because of losing to the co-champion head to head. The streak is a rough ridin' sham, and always has been.

I don’t visit that forum, but what I HOPE they’re doing right now is drawing some inspiration from their in state bros in the WVU game.

So, just the two of us I guess. Everyone else must be watching Wake.

As per usual, our Big XII opponent starts the game by shooting out of their minds.
9th out of tenth in three point shooting in the Big XII, except when they play us, of course.

 These never get old.

Hitting every three they put up. No doubt vs KSU they will shoot in %20 range

Beyond sick of this super bowl bullshit.

Or it’s senior night. Or you suck balls and taint on the road. Let’s go with super bowl.

Quote
Well there’s a quick double digit deficit. Guess I’ll head to bed, 4 am comes early.

I’m guessing.... turnpike tollbooth operator.

Quote
eff the teams in this league. Not one of them gives the effort against all the others they do against KU.

So you get the point but this super bowl stuff goes on for pages and pages.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.
