There is a wojak style meme out there with two persons in a studio podcasting, one a gay man with a rainbow flag, another a trans black man with a BLM/Commie-fist flag and the text says something like "conservative thought leaders in 2030".
The gay character is clearly a dig at Rubin and the transformer POC, who knows...but there are plenty of people supporting oscar Jenner as a republican and hoping he is a face of conservatism.
But as I mentioned in the other thread: Conservatism(TM) is aligning with the sex toy vendor over the voice promoting decency. So much of what passes, nay what is PRAISED and PLATFORMED, as conservatism today is degenerate nonsense 10 years ago.
During the Obama years we heard grumblings that like 90% of Fox employees/personalities were liberals and it was a terrible environment for actual conservatives. When Trump got elected we saw a lot of true colors come out, many were on Blue Team all along, and even the ideological stances were posturing or for the audience.
Fox News' reporting hasn't actually been independent ever. They use the same AP articles for the substance of their news as MSNBC. They do editorialize the headlines for their audience. But this isn't new. There is an old image of east coast WSJs showing a different headline than west coast WSJs.
The Hannity & Colmes dynamic was created to strawman the left arguments for the right-wing audience and create a sense of "owning libs" because Colmes was a punching bag. But the longer Hannity is in the spotlight, the more apparently that he too was playing a part. "But guys I worked construction and memorized the Devil Went Down to Georgia, I am one of you, trust me."
The truth is any actual conservatives out there are not platformed. And thus it's safe to say actual conservatism is a dead. It holds no keys to any institution in America, it pushes for no real policy initiatives other than tax benefits for leftists.
It's time the right got with the program and realize it needs to muster an aggressive political posture that rejects much of accepted social norms of modernity.
