oh I guess if you've already watched the Indiana Jones movies those are pretty bad. Like that first one is rough ridin' terrifying for a PG movie and probably scarier than anything on your list
pretty sure Temple of Doom is the only movie on this list where a still beating heart is ripped out and that is not the worst scene in the movie - the goddamn bug room trap pure nightmare fuel
Raiders of the lost ark ends with Satan himself literally melting faces or something

that would end quickly at least vs the terrible pain of being eaten by a million centipedes

Cabin in the Woods

Not until he is older and has earned his horror movie chops.  I am not wasting that one on a kid who doesn’t even know the genre yet.

At this age I enjoyed Porkys, animal house, blue brothers, 48 hours, Dirty Harry movies, The outlaw Josey
Wales, Smokey and the Bandit, Caddyshack, Meatballs, revenge of the nerds, Hooper, Any which way but loose, Rambo, Richard Pryor in concert, Delirious, Raw, one on one, Brian’s song, north Dallas forty, semi tough, the longest yard, the natural, James Bond movies (Roger Moore only) the sting.  Every young man
Should see all of these at a minimum.
it’s not like I’m tired of WINNING, but dude, let me catch my breath.

Glory.  It's a great war movie.  Plus it teaches about history and racism and stuff.  I think this was one of the first R movies I ever saw.

Yeah the face melting and such stuff would be for me pretty terrifying at that age. However I am a def no-go on anything demon possession type stuff.

The above is pretty ironic since I don’t really believe in any of that stuff. My mind just goes wild tho.

Agree with Alien movies
Die Hard movies (tis the season)

He'll see John Wick in due time but I recommend force feeding him movies from your era a little more as you maybe running out of time to do this.

Army of Darkness. Maybe watch Evil Dead 2 first, but you don't really need to.

I tried watching the indy movies a few months ago and let's just say that they don't hold up at all.
