K, settling on Monte Carlo. Where should I eat? Keep in mind I enjoy everything and need a $100-$150pp option, a $50pp option, and maybe a sushi place.

don't settle on monte carlo. just stay at mirage.

don't settle on monte carlo. just stay at mirage.

if your stay involves a weeknight (i.e., mon-thurs) you shouldn't have a problem getting a $150 room for half the price. there are decent bars in the casino, the sportsbook is the best on the strip, the burger joint is excellent, and imo, the mirage is THE best location on las vegas blvd.

there is a country bar next door at Treasure Island that is very fun. Gilley's, I think it is called. and I rough ridin' hate country bars. but it is fun, or at least it was fun when I went there. across the street, some of the cheaper beer can be found at the poor casinos (Quad, Casino Royale). CR still gives out $2 domestic bottles. grab several and walk the strip, stuff 'em in your pocket, etc. we used to just go there to refill.

o'shea's is also now located inside of the quad. very cool spot. they typically have live music, and it's pretty fun.

I am bachelor partying in KC and my fiance is bacheloretting in Vegas.  I am losing
I'd say the opposite but that's me

another sushi option is Nobu at Hard Rock, it's great but more expensive than Sushi Samba which is a place I love (el Topo roll)

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Tell me more...
Cosmo has a good MM party in their arena thing...food is okay, booze is pretty good.  The PH party sucks.

Sushi samba (clams favorite) at palazzo or Venetian. Chain but not a big one.

Todd English Pub ($50 option) craft beer, great raw bar, gastropub

Demonico at Venetian (steak $150 option). Truffle chips. or Carnevino right there somewhere.

Todd english pub was maybe the worst place I've ever eaten in LV for the money....but we went pretty close to opening so that could have been the problem.

Giada's brunch was pretty good.

Prime at Bellagio has great steak, think I spent $90ish for myself, amazing meal
Javiers at Aria was good, maybe $130 for me and the wife?  idk if it was really worth that much, we had a resort credit we used there
The Jean Phillipe fancy dessert place at Aria is awesome
Todd English is great
Dirt cheap and good pizza at Secret Pizza or Hidden Pizza at Cosmo ($10 or $12 for a couple slices, the place doesn't really have a name, it's just a pizza place hidden down a hallway on the second level up from the casino)
The restaurant at the Eiffel Tower is ok, not amazing, prob worth the price just for the cool view of the Bellagio fountains across the street
Mediterranean place downtown, can't remember the name, but great gyros, only open like normal city hours instead of 24/7 unfortunately
I always get one of those $1.99 foot long hot dogs at Casino Royale because it's a tradition for me.  They are god awful

My favorite budget location is Planet Hollywood followed by Flamingo because I like the locations slightly better but Monte Carlo is decent too.  I agree the casino feels too narrow and cramped BUT it is also very clean as clams referenced.  We stayed at NYNY on our first trip and it's cheesy as hell but the rooms are decent, cheap and a good casino.  I like to be further north if possible tho.

big fan of Casino Royale after getting pak'd.  Cheap tables and I always seem to win there.

Secret pizza is a great place...really all those cosmo places are pretty tasty and good price.  the MGM pub (forget the name) is good.  Really nothing is good in the new linq area....tried the mexican place (chayo) and flour and barley and both are C at best.  Ramseys BRGR at PH is nowhere close to worth the line.  If you are Total Rewards platinum you can skip most of the line but still nothing great.  B&B at Ventian was okay.

Place I always seem to end up due to the location, TVs, proximity to the sports bar, and ability to sit outside and watch the strip is PBR at Planet Hollywood.  There is an EMAW that tends bar there that is a pretty good guy.  Don't eat there.

CVS/Walgreen/ABC is your answer for the cheapest walking beer options.

reminds me we ate at Brooklyn Bowl last time at the Linq and it was pretty solid.  I agree Ramsays place at PH is good but not worth the wait or the price.  Honestly I had forgotten that I had eaten there until you posted that.

and yes casino royale is fantastic.  during aforementioned trip for wifes work convention I walked over there like everyday because the convention was at the venetian and played $3 craps and blackjack and met a shitload of really entertaining people including a 70 year old lady and her 40 year old daughter who come to vegas every year on their birthday since they were born on the same day.  anyway we won a bunch of money playing craps and they called me their good luck charm.   :D

Yes, I have done this in the past. I also took a 30 pack to one of the pools one time. They wouldn't let me take the whole thing in but they let me leave it at the little front desk thing at the pool and bring them in six at a time. Would do again.

Cosmo has a good MM party in their arena thing...food is okay, booze is pretty good.  The PH party sucks.

i skipped last year, but my friends went to Treasure Island. im not entirely sure what they paid but i believe it was a small fee ($20?) to get in and then from there you had to buy everything but drink tickets were being handed out like crazy.

the year before we went to harrahs. i believe it was $60 or so. it was in a big ball room and they brought out a buffet for every meal starting at like 8 am (food was just ok- deli meat and cookies, fried food, etc.). it was all you could drink coors and miller light and then they had their own betting station, which only took about 5 minutes to get through. you could probably search my posts in this thread and find some reviews...

harrahs is probably towards the bottom of the watch parties. iirc, we chose a cheap option in case it sucked. im sure there are people who could tell you of some better ones. from what i know, casinos change their watch parties up pretty often to keep people coming. i liked not having to fumble around with tickets or cash to get beer. would probably choose a different option just to mix it up.

I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.
