"Good man and good coach", "no doubt he will have great success" =kiss of death.  He is going to suck.

I just wish the quote said: “I was so impressed I offered him our DC position on the spot, but he said he was holding out for his dream to coach at a land grant university.”

am I supposed to be happy that dabo called him "good" and that some other guy said that if he can just do what he did at his previous job that we should be about the same as we have been the last five years?

What coaches say is meaningless. I'm finding it interesting that informed people outside our fan base genuinely think that it's a good hire.

Yeah how sad is that to look to other universities to validate our coaching hire?

He is probably owed an apology by some on this board for his breaking scoops of gene’s whereabouts in regards to meeting with Klieman.

Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

they think it's a good hire in the same way that they think it's great that the nerd guy got a date to the dance with a nerd girl. they're like oh that's a good match. good for him. pat on the head.

https://www.footballstudyhall.com/2018/12/11/18135990/can-chris-klieman-duplicate-bison-dominance-at-kansas-state-north-dakota-state

"It’s hard to imagine a coach coming to Kansas State and executing the “recruit Texas and run the HUNH” strategy better than the programs already attempting that such as Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Baylor, etc."

yeah it's definitely hard to imagine us doing something better than Oklahoma state, tcu or Baylor. jesus Christ get this guy out of my face.  :flush:

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
